On Friday the 13th of August long-term Back-Up supporters Mark Howden and David Hayes will be taking part in the ‘The Bruno Extravaganza’!
As a result of losing a bet, Mark and David will be doing a lap of Trafalgar Square dressed as Sacha Baron Cohen's alter ego Bruno, complete with lederhose!. Mark and David plan to raise a fantastic £10,000 for The Back-Up Trust and we would like to say a big thank you to Mark and David for all their creative and bizarre fundraising efforts.
If you would like to sponsor Mark and David please visit their fundraising page.
On the 13th of May Carl Yearwood, James Rixon, Simon Cordery and Paul Grice, aka Pink Torpedo, rocked their way to victory and won an amazing £6,000 for the Back-Up Trust after winning the Pensions Rocks battle of the bands.
The Pensions Rock event was attended by over 300 pension professionals who saw six bands compete for the title of Pensions Rocks Winner 2010. The band members, who all work for F&C Investments, fought off stiff competition and Pink Torpedo were finally declared the champions.
On behalf of everyone at Back-Up - a big thank you and congratulations!
